Tendli Gourd ( कुंदरू )

Tendli, also known as Tinda, Indian squash, round melon, Indian round gourd, apple gourd, or Indian baby pumpkin, is a squash-like cucurbit grown for its immature fruit, a vegetable especially popular in South Asia. It is a perineal herb native to Asian countries including India. Tendli has a dark green smooth skin with white flesh and small seeds inside. It is usually harvested in the immature stage as the mature tendli is a bit bitter in taste. Tendli is low in calories and rich in dietary fiber, beta carotene, vitamins A & C, and other nutrients.
