Potato-New Red ( लाल नये आलू / लाल नवीन बटाटे )

A potato is a vegetable, the Solanum tuberosum. It is a small plant with large leaves. The part of the potato that people eat is a tuber that grows under the ground.

A potato has a lot of starch and other carbohydrates. Potato usually has a light-brown or yellowish skin and is white or yellow inside. If the potato gets light on it, the tuber turns green and will be poisonous.

आलू एक सब्जी है, सोलनम ट्यूबरोसम। यह बड़ी पत्तियों वाला एक छोटा पौधा है। आलू का जो हिस्सा लोग खाते हैं वह जमीन के नीचे उगने वाला कंद है।

आलू में बहुत अधिक मात्रा में स्टार्च और अन्य कार्बोहाइड्रेट होते हैं। आलू की त्वचा आमतौर पर हल्के भूरे या पीले रंग की होती है और अंदर से सफेद या पीले रंग का होता है। यदि आलू पर प्रकाश पड़ जाए तो कंद हरा हो जाएगा और जहरीला हो जाएगा।
